Well, I've certainly been going through writer's block for what feels like eternity.
I suppose sometimes it's good to wait for something to happen in real that can inspire a song.

My inspiration came from both dealing with a situation similar to this song and also an old idol song called "Doyoubi no Tamanegi".
I like songs that are dreamy so I knew I'd write something after hearing such a song.
In particular I was inspired by the line 「どうしておまえとわたしだけこんな目に合うのかしら」(Why is it that only you and I suffer like this).
I more often than not write happy love songs, so this was welcomed change of pace for me.
It's by no means a masterpiece, of course nothing I write is.
But I quite like it
